After 20 years as a freelance graphic designer, I decided to make a career switch to become a therapist. I have always been passionate about psychology and wanted to make a positive difference in other’s lives. Through a lot of volunteer work with teens, I realized that I have a special connection with adolescents and young adults and have decided to make young adult and teen counseling the focus of my practice. psychology today find a therapist

I am an ally of the LGBTQAI+ community and strive to appreciate and honor all ethnicities and faiths. I acknowledge that I am a privileged, white woman and try to do my best to meet my clients where they are and to understand all the factors that have led to who they are today.

I am also a happy partner to my husband, Darren, and a proud and supportive mother of my 2 children: Dallas (22), who plays ice hockey at Wesleyan University; and Devyn (20) a sophomore at University of Denver. I am also the daughter of wonderful parents, a dog and cat owner, and I enjoy reading, hiking, bingeing shows on Apple TV or Hulu, and hanging out with my dear friends. But, even with my happy life, I have dealt with my own depression, ADHD, suicidal ideation, and grief—all of which I got through with the help of a therapist. :)
